I am Jermell Deshauan. Yeah I may be Handsome and Charming with a Million Dollar Smile to Match, but

my aspiration in life is to inspire. As an actor, I’m able to uplift, enlighten, and move people-all while having a cathartic experience myself; it’s pretty amazing. 

 

Never did I imagine that being an artist would be such a spiritual experience for me. It’s one of my ways to help spread love in the world.  And we all know we could use a little more of that right?

 

I’ve been acting for a little over 10 years. If you can’t tell by now, in projects, I’m typically the voice of reason/best friend/golden hearted boy next door.  I’ve been this guy in a host of shorts, webisodes, and feature films.  I show you how nice guys don’t always finish last ;). I've also been featured in national commercials. Don't typecast me just yet, I'm extremely versatile and challenge myself with roles that make me grow. Some of my training comes from some amazing places like The Second City Chicago, Alyson Horn Casting, Anthony Meindl’s Actor Studio, Doug Warhit, and most recently I began studying with Lesly Kahn.  Like any good business, you have to be versatile and offer diverse styles, selections, and quality service. 

 

I should probably mention that I have a degree in Business. Right? Who knows what to really include in these things? In college though, I worked for an airline where I found another love of mine…traveling. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some exciting places like Thailand, Paris, Costa Rica, Amsterdam, and Venice, Italy (of course I didn’t speak an ounce of Italian and got lost 5x in those maze-like “streets”). Good thing I had just finished reading “Who Moved My Cheese?” HaHa. But, what I learned from traveling is that there is so much more to life, and so much to truly be thankful for.

 

I’m just your everyday lover of life, attempting to change the trajectory of mankind upward and closer to the dial of love.  A smart, fun, easy-going, and talented professional is what you can expect in working together. I love to create art. The kind of art that is compelling, forward thinking, truthful, and fun. This can range anywhere from awesome commercials to award winning television and motion pictures, not forgetting all the projects in between.
